Past event

from 06 December
to 14 December

Between Dec. 6 and Dec. 20, churches in downtown Lugano will host A Christmas Carol, a series of twenty short choral concerts dedicated to Christmas carols. In addition to the Church of Santa Maria degli Angioli, the events will take place in the Church of San Carlo, the Church of Sant'Antonio, the Church of San Rocco and the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

Spread over two weekends prior to Christmas, these musical moments intend to blend the architectural harmony of the city with the richness of vocal polyphony, offering a joyful experience of refined aesthetic enjoyment even during Christmas shopping.

The itinerary will culminate on Saturday, Dec. 20, in a final concert in the Hall, which will bring together the participating choirs, accompanied by an ensemble of professors from the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana.
