On the occasion of its seventy fifth year of activity, SIK-ISEA invites the public to an evening event organised in collaboration with the Museo d’arte della Svizzera italiana. The programme will open with an overview of the Institute’s activities in Ticino, followed by a panel discussion dedicated to the theme “Collecting, documenting and transmitting art in Italian speaking Switzerland”. MASI Lugano and the Marguerite Arp Foundation in Locarno Solduno will take part in the discussion. A reception will follow.

Since 2020, the Liaison Office for Italian speaking Switzerland of SIK ISEA has been based at MASI Lugano. It maintains relations with the regional art scene and fosters exchanges and collaborations with institutions and scholars. Among its responsibilities is the preparation of the Italian language entries for the SIKART Dictionary, which will celebrate its twentieth anniversary in 2026.
Among SIK-ISEA’s most recent ongoing projects is the catalogue raisonné of Sophie Taeuber-Arp, produced in collaboration with the Fondation Arp in Clamart, the Fondation Marguerite Arp in Locarno, and the Stiftung Arp e. V. in Berlin, together with Walburga Krupp, a renowned expert on the work of Sophie Taeuber-Arp.

Reservation appreciated at sik@sik-isea.ch

The presentations and discussion will be held in Italian.

Photographs will be taken during the event and may be used for SIK ISEA’s communication purposes.
